Stan and the survivors come under fire as they search for food. It turns out a Kindergarten teacher, Ann Cooke, has been killing other survivors and feeding the meat to the remnants of her class. Ann gets shot by Stan and dies from her wounds. Cindy decides that they cannot take the kids with them on their trek to Alaska.
