Who we are
Chase The Arc is a comic-book catalog and reading tracker at https://chasethearc.com. This policy describes personal information we process when you visit the site or create an account.
Information we collect
- Account. Sign-in is by email through Clerk. Clerk stores your email address and authentication session data. We store your Clerk user id with your ratings, reading list, follows, submissions, and recommendation feedback.
- Library activity. Comics you mark read or to-read, ratings (art, story, vibe), creator follows, and optional comic submissions.
- Technical logs. Cloudflare may process IP address, user agent, and request metadata to operate the Worker, apply rate limits, and provide security (including Turnstile on sign-in). Account and library rows live in D1. Catalog payloads live in R2.
- Analytics (optional). Google Analytics 4 is optional. Google receives it so we can understand which pages are used. Nothing is sent until you click Accept. If you accept, Google retains that analytics data for 14 months. Necessary cookies still run if you reject. We do not use Google Signals or ads.
- Search appearance. We use Google Search Console as an operator tool. It shows search queries, clicks, impressions, and indexing for pages Google Search already processes, so we can see how the site appears in Google Search. The site does not load a Search Console tag and does not set a Search Console cookie. Accept and Reject do not control Search Console. It is separate from optional Google Analytics 4.
Cookies
Necessary cookies run the site and remember this choice. Optional analytics cookies are Google Analytics 4, sent to Google, and used to understand which pages are used. Nothing is sent until you click Accept. If you accept, Google retains that data for 14 months. Choose Reject, or change the saved choice from Cookie settings in the footer, to withdraw. We do not use Google Signals or ads. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as Reject until you click Accept.

In the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland we treat analytics as optional. You can change your choice any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
How we use information
To run the catalog, authenticate you, save your library, moderate submissions, prevent abuse, and — only with consent — understand aggregate traffic. Google Search Console is separate from that choice: we use it to see how the site appears in Google Search, and the cookie banner does not control it. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.

Catalog data
Issue metadata and covers come from third-party comic databases and publishers. That catalog is not your personal data. See Credits.
Retention and your rights
We keep account and library data while your account exists. Request access or deletion at admin@chasethearc.com. Depending on where you live (including California and the EU/UK), you may have rights to know, delete, correct, or object to certain processing. Withdraw analytics by choosing Reject, or by changing the saved choice from Cookie settings in the footer. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.
Children
Chase The Arc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. Continued use after an update means you have seen the revised policy.
