Several great and terrible events occurred in 1883, but none so dire as the continuing depredations of the Jack Candle Gang in the Old West. No posse could stop them. Not even the legendary Pinkertons could find them. But now a mysterious unarmed sheriff is on Jack's trail, and a showdown is inevitable.
