Northlanders #19

"The Shield Maidens" concludes its blood-drenched telling of Thyra, Grettr, and Lif - three wives of slain Danish warriors who seek revenge on their killers. The myth of the Valkyries, the idyllic figures who guide dead warriors to Valhalla, is shattered by the stone-cold reality of love lost.
