Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time: The Eye of the World #2

Strangers, a Gleeman, a peddler from afar and even fireworks might possibly make this the best Bel Tine ever in Two Rivers. Well, if it wasn't for the bestial Trollocs and fearsome Myrddraal waiting to attack Two Rivers in search of the Dragon Reborn... Moiraine Damodred, an Aes Sedai, and her Warder, al'Lan Mandragoran, are all that stand in the way of the Darkness that has descended on Two Rivers. And Rand al'Thor and his two friends, Matrim Cauthon and Perrin Aybara, must leave the only home they have ever known if they want to spare their loved ones from any further danger.
