In their first double-sized issue, the boys discover that the expense of their beloved hobby far exceeds the modest allowances their parents provide (except Allen who is spoiled rotten) and have to find jobs to sustain their habits!...er, Hobbies! Finding jobs isn't easy for them, and keeping them proves even more difficult for Jim. Keith and Jim eventually find themselves in the employ of a hyper-active German sausage maker where Keith also sidelines as the stores "comic book manager" and Jim discovers his "true calling" in life.
