The cover is painted by Wally Fax, a noted paperback book cover artist. Fax went to art school with Joe Orlando, and was tapped by Orlando for comic book work in the 1970's. Early in his art career, Fax was an apprentice to Dean Cornwell, one of the great American Illustrators of the 20th Century.
